The Rothay Garden Hotel is spectacularly placed in the Lake District to offer guests a four-star retreat full of luxury. After undergoing an extensive renovation in both 2008 and 2011, the Rothay Garden Hotel has been lovingly redesigned to offer even more splendour. Each bedroom now comes with a patio or a balcony, and there’s also a host of elaborate suites on offer.
All of the bedrooms have been carefully styled with a warm and inviting décor, giving guests a contemporary stay in a stunning location. The Rothay Garden Hotel also has a luxury Riverside Spa, which won the top spot in Spa Secrets magazine’s Cool List of Worldwide Spa Openings feature when it was first unveiled. Floor to ceiling windows offer fantastic views while you swim or spend time in the Hydro Spa, while there are other luxury features such as an aroma room and heated infrared loungers. The Rothay Garden Restaurant offers an elegant dining experience with contemporary clean lines inside and views that stretch over acres of garden outside.
Rothay Gardens were using a custom made Property Management System (PMS) and wanted to upgrade to the most up-to-date PMS on the market, with the ability to use it away from the business as well. There were a few other key things that were needed to make the business run even more smoothly and improve the guest experience, such as an Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) system, the ability to book online through the hotel’s main website rather than just Online Travel Agents (OTA’s), and Dynamic Pricing to automatically fluctuate rates when availability changed.
What We Delivered
Bearing all of Rothay Garden’s needs in mind, the Hotel Perfect team installed the cloud-based Version 5 hotel management system. The cloud-based Version 5 hotel PMS allows the owners to monitor all of the business’ key figures, no matter where they are in the world, as long as they have access to a PC or tablet. This ensures they can act immediately and make competitive decisions sooner rather than later.
Rothay Gardens is based in an extremely competitive area of the Lake District so the need for a sophisticated and advanced system was vital in order to give them an edge against other hotels, whether the owners were at home or away.
The call logging system means that the hotel can automatically charge bedrooms for calls, saving the need for manual action. Another benefit to the upgrade to Hotel Perfect’s cloud-based PMS, was the channel management and dynamic pricing modules, which allows the all-in-one hotel software solution to adjust rates dependent on availability and push this price out to all the Online Travel Agents (OTA’s). This means that pricing is now efficient and accurate across the board.
The installation team implemented a hotel reservation software system which encourages direct bookings through the website, rather than just with OTA’s.
