The Langstone Cliff Hotel has 64 bedrooms and is in an excellent Devon location, surrounded by 19 acres of woodland suitable for all the family to adventure in. The hotel is set above some magnificent beaches and an internationally famous nature reserve at Dawlish Warren, which boasts some fantastic ocean views.
As you can imagine, with such a varied and idyllic setting, the Langstone hosts a variety of events, such as weddings, conferences, exhibitions, seminars, product launches, birthday parties, cabaret evenings, christenings and receptions, and have an extremely flexible approach to catering. The Langstone Cliff houses both the Lincoln Bar and Lincoln Restaurant which offer a choice of food and drink.
The Langstone Cliff Hotel wanted an easy to use Property Management System (PMS) that could be adapted to their needs in order to make the online experience and pricing more efficient and effective. They were looking for Direct Booking Software that could update its prices dependent on changes in the hotel, such as availability, to save the need for manual and time consuming intervention.
Other areas the hotel needed to improve was the way it logged calls, managed event details and charged their guests for drinks and dinner.
What We Delivered
With the Langstone Cliff’s needs in mind, the Hotel Perfect team installed the Version 5 of the hotel management system and several additional modules. The foremost priority was the Direct Booking manager that would allow the Langstone Cliff to have an online hotel reservation system. The next was to install the Dynamic Pricing module, which would then see bedroom prices in the hotel update automatically, dependent on availability and other factors. The hotel said goodbye to manually updating prices and are now able to focus on their customers’ needs.
The events module has been extremely helpful and the Langstone Cliff Hotel team can plan and organise events, functions, weddings and more on the all-in-one hotel software solution. Not only that, but the team can store all of the documents and details in one easy to access PMS so there’s no chance of them getting lost. The call logging add-on now allows guests to make calls and have the fee charged directly to their room in one efficient process, working in sync with the Property Management System to create a seamless guest experience.
The Langstone Cliff also opted for an Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) module that allows guests to add food or drinks onto their bedroom bill and eliminates the need to carry cash. If a guest has a few drinks at the bar, their bedroom charge will be automatically modified by the hospitality management system without the exchange of monies needing to take place throughout the stay until check out.
